Helping the Invisible Children

Ambassador Ann | November 22, 2011

Alexa shared an inspiration story this Tuesday morning about helping others.

Alexa: "Here is a video I chose to share for the morning presentations. I think Natalie Warne's story is inspiring to people of all ages. It is never too late or too early to make a difference and start a movement. You just have to be passionate about your cause and know that results don't happen over night. I also like the video because she mentions the importance of team work. Though not everyone may be recognized at the national level that she was, it took an entire team of people that were equally as dedicated and passionate as she.

This video especially meant a lot to me because I was very aware of the organization Invisible Children. I was about 20 years old when I first saw it and the three founders of it were touring from school to school showing the video and educating people. I always regretted not joining an organization like this when I was still in college. Watching the TED video made me realize it is never too late to make a positive contribution and join an organization that you strongly believe in."
