Reflections on Working With Angelica Cesario

We’re excited to share that Angelica Cesario has been promoted to Chief Growth Officer! Since joining Lawline in 2016, Angelica has made a significant impact as a leader, most recently serving as VP of Learning Solutions, where she played a strategic role in revolutionizing legal education through product development and fostering strong B2B relationships.

In this reflection, Michele Richman, Chief People Officer, and Rich Hernandez, COO, share their perspectives on working alongside Angelica as peers, highlighting her leadership style, collaboration, and growth over time. Together, they reflect on their experiences partnering with Angelica, what sets her apart as a leader, and how her contributions continue to shape Lawline’s success. This conversation offers a thoughtful look at leadership through the lens of peer collaboration and shared growth.

Looking back on Angelica’s time at Lawline, what experiences or milestones have most shaped her growth and leadership journey here?

Angelica’s growth has come from consistently stepping into new areas and making things better. From evolving our content creation and development approach to transforming the Content team into today’s Learning Solutions team, she’s shown a rare ability to lead with both clarity and humility.

One of the most defining moments for me was when Lawline began rethinking how we approached sales. Angelica raised her hand, stepped into the unknown, and helped transform her team from content creators into true business partners – people who not only create content, but also build relationships and sell solutions into the market.

Watching her shift from an exceptional individual contributor to someone who actively shapes direction, influence, and culture has been a joy to witness. She has become a go-to voice for thoughtful perspective, not just on her own work, but on how teams collaborate and move forward together.

As Angelica takes on this new position, what are you most excited about?

I’m most excited about the leadership style she brings to this role. Angelica leads with trust, empathy, and high standards, which is a powerful combination. She makes people feel supported while still pushing for excellence.

I’m excited to see her continue to scale that impact, not just through her own work, but through the people and teams she helps grow. She has a strong instinct for building sustainable, healthy ways of working, and I know that will show up even more in this role. Lawline is better with her in it, and I’m excited to see what she helps shape next.

Looking back on Angelica’s time at Lawline, what experiences or milestones have most shaped her growth and leadership journey here?

What stands out most to me about Angelica’s growth is the way she has developed a rare combination of analytical thinking, product insight, and revenue strategy. She has not just deepened her expertise; she has evolved from executing on learning solutions to fundamentally reshaping how firms understand and experience what we offer their attorneys. One of the biggest milestones has been watching her step into conversations with clarity and confidence, helping others see opportunities they may not have seen before. That shift, from doing the work to leading the thinking behind it, has been defining in her leadership journey.

As Angelica takes on this new position, what are you most excited about?

I am most excited to see Angelica’s strategic thinking applied across our broader growth strategy. She has already elevated how we position our content and shown firms how Lawline can truly help attorneys grow. Expanding that impact is incredibly exciting. What gives me the most confidence, though, is how she leads. She is thoughtful, kind, and deeply invested in the people around her. She raises the bar while also lifting others up, which is exactly the kind of leadership you want in a Chief Growth Officer.
