Getting to Know Courtney: What Her ISFJ Type Says About the Way She Shows Up at Work

By Miylie Roan

One of my favorite things about working at Lawline is that we genuinely invest in helping people understand themselves, not just as employees, but as people. That's exactly why I started The Growth Podcast, and why I'm so excited about our TypeCoach series.

In this episode, I sat down with Courtney to explore her TypeCoach results. Her four-letter type? ISFJ. ISFJs are known for being responsible, reliable, and productive — deeply caring people who tend to put others first. But like any type, there are layers, and that's what made this conversation so good.

The Moment of Recognition

Courtney predicted some of her results before taking the assessment. She knew she was an Introvert and a Feeler right away. The Judger piece surprised her at first, but once she dug into what it actually meant, it was total recognition. That moment of "wait, that's actually me" is exactly what TypeCoach is designed to create.

Being an Introvert Isn't What Most People Think

Courtney made a point worth highlighting: introversion isn't about whether you like people or can handle a crowd. It's about where you get your energy. She's already learned to structure her day with intentional pockets of quiet between meetings so she's not running on empty. That kind of self-awareness is a skill, and it takes most people years to develop.

The "I Can't Say No" Pattern

This is where the conversation got really real. Courtney reflected on almost never saying no, because in her mind, work is supposed to be hard and saying no means you're weak. TypeCoach surfaces that pattern in a compassionate way. It's not a flaw — it's a tendency that comes with the type. And once you can see it, you can start making more intentional choices around it.

I'm so glad Courtney was willing to go first and be this open!
