What excites me most about joining the Lawline team is the culture and the people. When I received the invitation for a pre-screening interview, I dove into researching the company. I felt like I was going down a rabbit hole with all the resources and blogs about the team and the culture. The more I explored, the more intrigued I became about Lawline and everyone involved!
My diverse experience spans customer service, clinical healthcare, education, healthcare administration, and sales, providing me with a broad skill set. Most recently, I worked as a Fellowship Coordinator at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, where I managed fellowships in Vascular Surgery, Gastroenterology, and Transplant Hepatology. In this role, I oversaw the schedules of 13 fellows, ensuring compliance with the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) standards and preparing them for board exams. My responsibilities included managing everything from scheduling and educational requirements to ensuring that all documentation met ACGME and specialist board standards, as well as handling recruitment and event planning. This experience has prepared me for the Applications and Approvals Coordinator role at Lawline. I have sharpened my skills in managing detailed processes and ensuring compliance, which aligns with the key objectives of this position. I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to Lawline and embrace the core values: Care, Experiment, Act, Play, and Grow.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my family and friends and exploring new activities. I recently signed a one-year contract (yikes!) at my husband’s Brazilian jiu-jitsu gym after years of insisting I wasn’t interested—haha. It’s been a fantastic way to bond with my family and learn a new skill, offering both mental clarity and a humbling experience. As a beginner, I’m hopeful that this commitment will keep me motivated. This new work-from-home opportunity has given me extra time to focus on these activities and will help me stay balanced and recharged with a great work-life balance
