Michele Richman, Lawline’s Chief People Officer, recently published her first book! I want to take a moment to talk about it because it deserves more than a quick congratulations.
The book is called The Stories We Almost Don't Tell: Finding the Courage to Tell Yours, and the title alone says everything about why I think it matters.
Michele's message is direct and deeply human: if you think your story doesn't matter, or that you need to wait until you're more ready, you don't. Your story matters now. Your voice matters now. The person who needs to hear what you have to say is waiting.
That's the kind of thing that's easy to read and hard to actually believe about yourself. Michele wrote an entire book to help you get there using her own personal experiences.
We talk a lot at Lawline about showing up fully, about being authentic, about bringing your whole self to the work you do. Michele's book takes that idea and makes it personal in a way that goes well beyond the professional context. It's about the courage it takes to own your narrative, share your experiences, and stop waiting for the version of yourself that feels "ready enough" before you speak up.
