- Can you share your career path leading up to your recent promotion?
My career largely started right here at Lawline! I traveled extensively after college and began at Lawline in the customer service department. Getting to know customers face to face, and hearing what they love about Lawline as well as any issues that they had, gave me deep insights into our product and users. Before starting in marketing, I worked in video production and enterprise sales roles, which expanded my knowledge of how our courses are created and the business side of the company, especially with regards to what firms and organizations were looking for from Lawline. Finally, I ended up in Marketing, which was an instant fit. I loved the dynamic nature of Lawline's marketing department, being able to work on various channels like email, paid search, and wearing different hats from analyzing data to creating designs.
- How do you envision your new role impacting both our team and Lawline’s future? Are there specific goals or initiatives you're excited to pursue?
I'm excited to continue to grow Lawline's customer acquisition, as well as continuing our focus on product-centered marketing. We have a product that our core customers truly love, and the key to our future growth is communicating the enthusiasm our loyal users have and the difference of our courses and features to the broader legal market. We've seen amazing growth at Lawline this year, and it's really exciting to be a part of taking our product, revenue, and customer experience to the next level.
- Looking ahead, what are your long-term career goals and how does this promotion align with them?
Long term, I'm looking to continue my growth working on product marketing. Thanks to Lawline, I recently became Product Marketing Certified, and am most excited when I have the opportunity to work with development teams to update our product and launch new features for our users. I love the intersection of design, development, and strategy that happens when we come together to improve our product.
