What is The Lawliner?

Working on Lawline’s internal monthly newsletter, The Lawliner, is one of the most creative and rewarding parts of my role. Each month, it’s my opportunity to share what’s happening across the company, highlight key dates, celebrate accomplishments, and tell stories that help our fully remote team feel connected, engaged, and in the loop.

The process begins with gathering all of the information. I navigate through Slack channels, Trello boards, and sometimes my own mental notes to ensure I capture the most important updates. Once the content is collected, I focus on finding a theme for the edition. This step is one of the biggest challenges, but designing the newsletter is where Canva becomes my secret weapon. I experiment with layouts, colors, graphics, and visual elements to make each edition engaging. Balancing readability, creativity, and the flow of stories is a fun challenge that pushes me to think strategically about storytelling. Themes can be inspired by the time of year, an upcoming company milestone, or a story that reflects our culture and what’s happening in real time. Coordinating all of this requires organization, attention to detail, and sometimes (okay, most of the time) a little patience. It’s incredibly rewarding when all the pieces come together into a cohesive, visually compelling narrative.

The most fulfilling part is seeing how employees respond. Whether it’s discovering a colleague’s hobby, celebrating a team win, or enjoying a visually engaging layout, The Lawliner makes Lawline unique and strengthens the sense of communication across our company.
