Lawliner’s were buzzing with excitement as we celebrated a very special occasion - Employee Appreciation Day! It's the perfect time to pause, reflect, and honor some remarkable individuals who truly embody Lawline's core values: care, create, act, grow, and play. These winners have shown us what it means to go above and beyond and we couldn't be prouder to have them as part of our incredible team.

🏆 Miylie Roan - Excellence in CARE Core Value Award 

Miylie's exceptional ability to CARE shines through in her interactions with all the Lawliners. She goes above and beyond, taking the time to know her colleagues not only on a professional level but also personally, fostering a deep sense of connection and making them feel valued and supported . By following this work ethic when planning company-wide events, she ensures inclusivity for all.

🏆 Arika Wadsworth (she/her/hers) - Innovation in CREATE Core Value Award & Coffeeholic Award

Arika is passionate about social media marketing and is great at coming up with creative ways to engage an audience, create eye-catching posts, and time her social media posts so they are relevant to the world. Arika, we look forward to seeing how you will continue to improve our social media presence.  All of her innovative ideas are thanks in part to her love of coffee. She also has a podcast called “We Run on Coffee” so you know her love is real. 

🏆 Alyssa Mrzljak - Initiative to ACT Core Value Award 

Alyssa is an invaluable A player who consistently takes swift and knowledgeable action on tasks. Her exceptional ability to check items off the list ensures that things get done efficiently. With her forward-thinking approach and innovative ideas, Alyssa continuously exceeds expectations and elevates operations to new levels.

 🏆 Cali Franks - Continuous GROWth Core Value Award

Cali's passion for growth extends far beyond the walls of Lawline. She has taken the initiative to actively engage with her fellow lawyers in the community, showcasing her leadership abilities and her commitment to making a positive impact. We are proud to acknowledge Cali's remarkable accomplishment of running for President of the Texas Young Lawyers Association, and the professionalism she demonstrated to her opponent who won.

🏆 Michelle deGonzague + Michael Sullivan - Excellence in PLAY Core Value Award

Not just one but two exceptional employees have emerged as winners of the PLAY award! Michelle and Mike embody the true essence of PLAY, seamlessly integrating it into both the virtual workspace and in-person interactions. 

Michelle's presence is infused with an irresistible charm and bubbly energy that brightens every conversation. As a proud member of the Cheese Girls, a soon-to-be world-famous karaoke group, she never fails to bring a smile to everyone's face. Her infectious positivity is a gift to the Lawline community. Meanwhile, Mike, who has also claimed the esteemed title of the standup comedian award, knows how to unleash his playful side. A karaoke legend, he fearlessly showcases his vocal talents at in-person retreats, always ready to entertain. Mike's quick wit and humor are an invaluable addition to the company-wide team-building activities, book club discussions, and Culture Club events he always attends.

🏆 Richard Hernandez - Most Outstanding Leadership Award

From his humble beginnings as a customer service representative, Rich has been successful at driving our business forward to new horizons as the COO. Rich's dedication and drive has propelled Lawline's success to unprecedented levels. Beyond his exceptional work ethic, Rich keeps everyone informed and engaged which creates a strong sense of belonging and teamwork that empowers us all. He also carefully considers all perspectives and potential outcomes, guiding us towards choices that consistently advance our goals. 

🏆 Michael Shafland - Best Zoom Background Award

Mike Shafland deserves the prestigious "Best Background" award not because he simply googled "best Zoom background," but by showcasing his genuine experiences! Mike took remote work to the next level, embracing the opportunity to work from captivating locations in Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, and Colombia. We wholeheartedly applaud Mike for seizing the advantages of working for a remote company

🏆 Katie Carelli - Best Collaborator Award

Katie's ability to seamlessly step into the interim role of Director of Attorney Education while her colleague was on a parental leave was truly remarkable. Her adaptability and dedication ensured the smooth continuation of the department function and showcased her exceptional collaboration skills. Katie' willingness to listen, share ideas, and work together towards a common goal has made a significant impact on the programming team dynamics.
