Employee Spotlight: Audra Mossor and Kai Bell
Our Accreditation team has added two new members. Audra Mossor as our Applications and Approvals Coordinator and Kai Bell as our Attorney Compliance Coordinator. Both of these individuals bring so much value to the Lawline team & the accreditation function. Check out below what they had to say about their time at Lawline so far.
Kai was born in Florida but raised in Kingston, Jamaica. She eventually moved back to the United States in the early 2000s and later on graduated from SUNY Old Westbury with a bachelors in Multicultural literature. Kai has a background in legal administrative and paralegal work. In her free time she enjoy hiking, traveling and spending time with her pup Bentley.
Audra found a love for training early on that led to the CLE world for the past 8 years. She enjoys searching the many CLE regulations of each state to ensure proper accreditation of a program. She earned her B.A. from the University of Central Florida. Born and raised in Florida brings a love of many outdoor activities, including a new found love of standup paddle boarding. Along with her husband and two sons, she enjoys spending lots of time at the baseball field cheering her favorite player on most weekends.
How was the interview process for you?
Kai:The interview process is definitely different from any interview process I have experienced. Being able to virtually meet multiple Lawline employees from different departments helped me understand more about how the company worked together and as a whole.
Audra: The interview process was thorough but fast paced to keep interest moving and excitement brewing.
Before onboarding, what did you imagine Lawline would be like?
Kai: Honestly, because the only other remote experience I've had is with my previous job, I imagined it to be similar. As we transitioned to working remotely, it became more difficult to keep up with other departments due to lack of communication. Lawline is the complete opposite which is definitely refreshing.
Audra: A strict process of gathering presenters and sharing useful information and tips for lawyers.
What was your first day like being remote? Was it like what you thought it would be?
Kai: Lots of information to take in but I enjoyed being able to introduce myself to other employees in a more relaxed setting. It was nice to be able to have "one on ones" being that we aren't physically in an office.
Audra: Exciting! Everyone was welcoming and made you feel a part of the team from the start!
What would you say is your biggest GROW moment so far?
Kai: Being new to the CLE portion of the legal industry, and now being able to easily complete tasks that felt so foreign in the beginning, has been my best GROW moment here at Lawline.
Audra: Learning how the various parts of the organization work together to achieve our goal of helping attorneys grow in their profession.
Is there anything else that you'd like to share?
Audra: Lawline has been challenging in understanding how all the pieces fit together, yet rewarding in growing in my knowledge and understanding of each aspect of the organization. Each part plays a very different role, yet all striving for the same outcome.
