David

DAVID SCHNURMAN - CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

In Silicon Valley, entrepreneurial companies start in a garage. In Silicon Alley, however, they start in a kitchen. After starting an online TV show for entrepreneurs called TrueNYC, David realized there was a bigger opportunity to bring an online learning format to the legal industry. In 2007, he restarted Lawline - working out of a kitchen for the first two years. His focus was building a company and culture the likes of which no one had seen since Google. While that is still a work in progress, he looks to companies like Apple - which had a long-term trajectory to success - for inspiration. On a personal level, David is an avid marathon runner, is on the board of Entrepreneur’s Organization NY, and regular mentor to budding entrepreneurs. He lives in Park Slope with his wife Kelli and three beautiful children: Josh, Leila, and Jonah.

MICHELE RICHMAN - DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES AND LEGAL

Michele

Michele is the Director of Human Resources and Legal but prefers to see herself as the Chief Inspiration Officer. She has been a democratic activist, a government prosecutor and a personal injury attorney. During her past 8 years at Lawline, she has most enjoyed tackling challenges head on with other Lawliners and coming up with unique solutions. She enjoys hiking, trying new restaurants, and just chillin’ with her husband David and two sons Max and Eli.

SIGALLE BARNESS - VICE PRESIDENT OF PROGRAMMING

Sigalle

Sigalle is the Vice President of Programming at FurtherEd and oversees all operations in the Continuing Education (CE) department. Sigalle graduated summa cum laude from Rutgers University and holds a B.A. in English. She received her J.D. in 2010 from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York, NY and is admitted to practice in both New York and New Jersey. She is an avid lover of music, video games, blogging, traveling, asking questions and all things food.

Rich

RICHARD HERNANDEZ - MARKETING DIRECTOR

Rich is Lawline’s Marketing Director. He is a graduate of SUNY Buffalo, with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He’s passionate about creatively scaling and sustaining growing companies and has contributed his talents to Lawline since 2012. In his spare time, Rich is an avid athlete, with two full marathons under his belt and another on the way. He also loves to cook and spend time outdoors with his pitbull, Marni.

JOE TANNENBAUM - LEAD DEVELOPER

Joe

Joe is the Lead Web Developer at Lawline. He hails from the rolling hills of Oneonta, NY, went to school at Syracuse, and now lives on the Upper West Side in NYC. Joe wears many hats as the Lead Dev at Lawline. Is the site up? That’s Joe. Is the site down? That’s Joe. Did you receive a certificate for a course? That’s Joe. Is somebody eating chocolate chip cookies? That’s Joe.

MICAH BOCHART - CHIEF VIDEO PRODUCER

Micah

Micah is the Chief Video Producer for Lawline. First in line to film and produce incoming content, he also manages Lawline’s studio, from the maintenance of existing technology to the research and acquisition of new resources, working to improve the quality of the product and the experience of the talent. He hails from a small town in Southeast Alaska renowned for its dizzying array of bald eagles, and counts distance running and feminist activism among his passions outside of work.

MEREDITH COHEN - ACCREDITATION MANAGER

Meredith

Meredith is a recent MBA graduate and the Accreditation Manager at Lawline. Although she’s originally from the small town (well, village) of Ardsley, NY, she lived in Boston for 5 years and now resides in Manhattan on the Upper West Side. Meredith is currently pursuing a lifelong goal of visiting every professional baseball park in America with her family, and in her spare time enjoys Bikram Yoga, binge- watching Netflix, and performing out-of-tune karaoke.

ANN  JOSEPH - OFFICE AMBASSADOR

Ann

Our Office Ambassador, Ann, has been at Lawline for 4 years. When she was hired, we told her that the most important part of the position would be to make people happy. She hasn’t let us down. Ann makes sure the culture stays strong and everyone has what they need. It’s with pride she makes sure everything is organized and working correctly. Ann has said working at Lawline has been life-changing, for the better.

JAMES TERRONO - DEVELOPER

James, born & raised on Long Island, NY, received his Bachelor’s degree from SUNY Farmingdale. He is a huge sports fan especially when it is in reference to the NY Mets and NY Jets. In his free time, he plays competitively in Flag Football & Softball. He also coaches a youth basketball team.

SHAUN SALMON - PROGRAM ATTORNEY

Shaun

Shaun is a Program Attorney with Lawline. She holds a JD with a certification in Intellectual Property Entertainment & Sports Law and is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey. In her free time, she coaches a high school dance team and choreographs the school’s musical. She is also a passionate advocate for animals and strives to cultivate Animal Law programs, among her other endeavors with the company.

DAMIAN MAKKI - LEAD DESIGNER

Damian

Damian is Lawline’s Designer. Originally from Arizona, he graduated from the University of Arizona in 2010, enjoyed a few paradisiacal years in San Diego, and fInally moved to New York City in 2013. When he’s not creating new site designs, landing pages, graphics, new UI paradigms, email templates, postcards, or marketing materials (just to name a few) for Lawline, Damian enjoys running, biking, and generally anything athletic.

MIKE SHAFLAND - ONLINE MARKETING SPECIALIST

Mike S.

Mike is an Online Marketing Coordinator at Lawline. During his 18 months here, Mike has worn many hats, from solving problems in customer service, to producing courses in the studio. Mike joined Lawline after spending 8 months traveling around South America, eating various types of empanadas and generally butchering the Spanish language. He enjoys trying new foods, traveling, climbing things, and riding his bike around New York.

STEPHANIE FREEDMAN - CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE SPECIALIST

Stephanie

Stephanie Freedman was born and raised in New Jersey. She graduated from the University of Delaware in the Spring of 2014 with a degree in Human Services. Stephanie started working for Lawline in January 2015 as a Customer Experience Specialist. Her main responsibility is making sure that Lawline customers are happy with the product and enjoy the services that Lawline provide! She truly has a passion for helping people and loves being able to put a smile on others’ faces.

Meredith

MEREDITH D’ANGELO - CONTENT COORDINATOR

One of the most recent additions to the Lawline team, Meredith graduated from NYU in 2014 with a double major in English and French. She then spent eight months teaching English and eating cheese in Paris, France. Here at Lawline, she works primarily with the program attorneys and production team to ensure that all things content related run smoothly. In her spare time she enjoys writing, singing, baking, and beginning sentences with, “Well, in France...”

MICHAEL CORSEY - CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE SPECIALIST

Michael C.

Michael is a cool guy and a master at communication. Seriously, he has a masters in Communication! He enjoys coffee twice in the morning and then again, in the afternoon and for dinner. Michael is also a tech aficionado and is always on top of the newest Apple products (although he has a love-hate relationship with them) and a super high-tech home movie system complete with the Wii U and Mario Kart, which could be his favorite game. Ask him to do his movie trailer narrator voice or make a Wookie call across the office. There’ll be a response and it’ll be from Michael.

Alison

ALISON WONG - CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE SPECIALIST

Need help understanding what next gen video game console is best? Are you a novice regarding the cultural conceptions on the island of Borneo? Meet Alison Wong Lawline’s resident gaming and anthropology expert! Alison graduated NYU in May 2015 and shortly after joined the customer experience team here at Lawline. Alison’s main responsibility is helping customers navigate the site and understand the benefits of each of our products. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her family as well as funding her little brother’s YouTube enterprise.

Angelica

ANGELICA CESARIO -PROGRAM ATTORNEY 

Angelica is a Program Attorney with Lawline. She graduated cum laude from Amherst College in 2008 and holds a B.A. in Women's and Gender Studies and a Certificate in Latino and Latin American Studies. She received her J.D. from Columbia Law School in 2013. Before joining Lawline, Angelica worked as a labor & employment litigation attorney. Outside of work, Angelica mentors a bright and funny high school student and is the Co-Chair of the Alumni Development Committee for the TEAK Fellowship. During her free time, Angelica loves to read, try new foods, and spend time with her family and her dog, Scotty.

OI MARK - DEVELOPER

Born in Macau, China and raised in Hong Kong, Oi is a traditional chinese guy who loves Asian food. He received his Bachelor's degree in Computer Software Engineering from Polytechnic Institute of NYU. Oi's passionate about technology both frontend and backend and always looking for best tools for projects. When he is not coding or reading tech blogs, Oi enjoys playing video games, hanging out with friends, trying out new restaurants, and spending most of his time with his wife Mian and two children Marwan and Makayla.

DAN BUSHKANETS - DEVELOPER

Danny Bushkanets is a web developer with Lawline. He received his Bachelor's degree from SUNY Buffalo. During his spare time, Danny loves to listen to music. He also plays several different instruments. He also likes to play soccer with friends when the weather is nice. Big fan of hiking in the fall to catch the foliage.
